Joyce Elam is Executive Dean of the College of Business (FIU). Her research in the
areas of strategic use of information technology and management of information
services has been widely published. A Fellow at the Harvard Business School, she
has taught at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. She
earned her Ph.D. from the University of Texas-Austin.
Robert Dollinger, M.D., is Assistant Dean for Student Affairs for the College of Medicine at FIU. Prior to joining the College of Medicine, he was the Executive Director of FIU University Health Services, Providing chief leadership for student health services at FIU since 1989. Dr. Dollinger earned his M.D. from the University of Miami.
Dana Farrow is Academic Director of FIU’s International MBA Program. Dr. Farrow
earned his Ph.D. in organizational and industrial psychology from the University of
Rochester, NY. He has served as a consultant for The United States Army Research
Institute for Behavioral and Social Sciences, the American Management Association,
and American Express, among others. Dr. Farrow is the author of Using Applied
Psychology in Personnel Management.
Nathan Hiller is a Fellow of the FIU Center for Leadership and assistant professor
of Management and International Business (FIU). Specializing in senior executive
decision-making and leadership development, he is the recipient of the Kenneth Clark
Award from the Center for Creative Leadership for innovative leadership research.Nathan Katz, PhD., is the founder and Director of the Program in the Study of
Spirituality. His Program focuses both on traditions of spirituality in the world’s
religions, and on the application of spirituality to the contemporary world in the
arts, medicine, law, education, entrepreneurship, and international relations. He has
studied, taught and conducted research in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan,
Tibet, and Israel, and has won many awards for his research, including FIU
President’s Award for Achievement.
Gino Coca-Mir is founder and director of Project Challenge, specializing in experimental learning for corporate executives.

Modesto "Mitch" Maidiqueis Professor of Management in the College of Business at Florida Interntaional University (FIU) and has served as FIU's president since 1986. Dr. Maidique is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) where he earned his Ph.D., M.S and B.S. degrees. He has taught at MIT, the Harvard Business School, and Stanford University. Internationally recognized as a leader in higher education and management of high technology enterprises, he had served two U.S. presidents on their Educational Policy Advisory Committees and served as a member of the Secretary of Energy's Advisory Board. Dr. Maidique currently serves on the boards of National Semiconductor and the Carnical Corporation. He is the author of Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation. His current research focuses on the nexus of physical, mental, and experimental factors affecting leadership and decision-making.
Noel M. Tichyis Professor of Management and Organizations at the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is also Director of the Global Business Partnership, which for over a decade ran the Global Leadership Program, a 36-company consortium of Japanese, European and North American companies, partnering to develop senior executives and conduct action research on globalization in China, India, Russia and Brazil. In the mid 1980s, Dr. Tichy was head of GE’s Leadership Center, the fabled Crotonville, where he led the transformation to action learning at GE. Dr. Tichy was rated as one of the “Top 10 Management Gurus” by BusinessWeek and is author of the leadership classics The Leadership Engine and The Cycle of Leadership. His latest publication is Judgment: How Winning Leaders Make Great Calls (2007, with Warren Bennis).
